Promise Haven

The Promise Haven Program is a 30-day initiative for families with children experiencing homelessness in Gwinnett County.

The program provides temporary shelter, hospitality from community volunteers, and essential case management services. Families must have at least one child aged 18 or under who is enrolled in Gwinnett County Schools. Our primary goals are to help families make money, save money, and find housing while focusing on long-term stability through employment, budgeting, and parenting support.

Promise Haven offers overnight accommodations from 6 PM to 7:30 AM on weekdays and 6 PM to 8 AM on weekends, housing up to three families at a time. Additionally, a Day Center is available for families during the day to facilitate job searches and work on program materials.

Promise Haven: Our Center of Hospitality

Promise Haven is at the heart of Family Promise of Gwinnett’s mission. More than just a shelter, it’s a place where families find a safe, welcoming environment as they work toward stability and independence.

As our center of hospitality, Promise Haven offers more than a roof—it provides an atmosphere of compassion, respect, and accountability. Here, families receive the support they need to rebuild their lives, surrounded by a community that cares.

Through personalized plans and the dedication of volunteers and staff, Promise Haven creates a foundation for lasting change, offering families a chance to thrive and move forward with confidence.

Whether you’re seeking help, offering your time as a volunteer, or looking to partner with us, Promise Haven is where hope begins and lives are transformed.
