Counting coins contributed through the Lenten offering Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church.

We usually think about change at Family Promise in regard to helping families make changes that allow them to return to stable housing. During Lent at Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church, the change for Family Promise means quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies.

Each year at the start of Lent, families are given purple cloth bags to collect their coins. Of course dollar bills and checks are accepted as well.

After Easter, the donations are given to Family Promise of Gwinnett. This year, the total contribution is $6.818.87.

We appreciate this thoughtful collection to help end homelessness in Gwinnett County, one family at a time.
