This story in the Atlanta Journal Constitution labels Gwinnett County a “Hotbed of Homeless.” The reporter began the story by describing the experience of a Snellville couple with three teenage children. The family became homeless when medical bills turned life upside down for them. Family Promise of Gwinnett was instrumental in getting that family back on its feet.

Gwinnett County has the third highest total homeless population in the state of Georgia, following the City of Atlanta and Chatham counties. The figures are based on the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, 2015 Report on Homelessness. See more about homeless statistics on our facts page.
