Team registration and sponsorship opportunities are open for the 10th Annual Bed Race to benefit Family Promise of Gwinnett County. This year’s race will be April 27, 2019, in downtown Lawrenceville.
Like last year, Not My Roof will stage three areas to illustrate where homeless families live in Gwinnett County. Come check it out while waiting for your favorite team to run the course.
Are you already planning to be there? Please share on social media with #BedRace10. Also see these communications templates to help us publicize the Bed Race.
Teams need six people – four to push the bed, one alternate pusher, and one person who weighs at least 100 pounds to ride on the bed during the race. Teams race their decorated beds in two heats for 220 years around the Lawrenceville square, including two turns and an up-hill section.
Youth teams are for people ages 16 – 22, and adult teams are for people 23 and older. Youth teams need an adult sponsor. Entry fee is $125 per team with all proceeds being used to end homelessness in Gwinnett County – one parent, one child, one family at a time. Download the team entry packet here. Teams can also sign up here.
This year we have added a new Partner Sponsor opportunity of $4,000 to support both the Bed Race and the October golf tournament. Additional Bed Race sponsor opportunities are:
- Event Sponsor – $2,500
- Platinium Sponsor – $1,000
- Gold Sponsor – $500
- Silver Sponsor – $250
Team entry fees and sponsor donations can be made online by designating funds or by mailing a check to:
