Are you a single woman or woman with children living in Gwinnett County and have nowhere to stay tonight? We would love to provide shelter for you at the SaltLight Center!
Call 678-376-8950 to begin the screening process. You can call Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The SaltLight Center has 11 beds plus space for three infants.
SaltLight Center Schedule:
6:30 p.m. – Doors open
7 p.m. – Doors are locked, and no one else can enter
7:30 p.m. – Dinner served by community volunteers
8 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Free time to shower, watch television, rest, etc.
10:30 p.m. – Lights out
5:30 a.m. – Wakeup call
6 a.m. – Breakfast
7 a.m. – Check out. You must take your belongings with you when you leave each day. Ask the Director about using our Day Center if you are interested in a day-time facility.
Things to know:
- The center is for women; boys up to age 17 can stay if they are with their mothers.
- Guests ages 18 years old and older need a photo ID (such as a passport or state issued driver’s license)
- No drugs, alcohol, or weapons are allowed in your belongings. You must be sober to enter.
The SaltLight Center is a safe, clean, and friendly place to stay for a night. Our staff will help you find longer-term housing if that is what you are seeking. We hope you feel loved and encouraged after staying with us.
